Camp Worthington

A palmtop meeting of some of Compuserve's HP HAND forum was held at Linda Worthington's cabin on 6/6/98 and the following photographs (except for the first and the last) were taken by Ole Latham on his DC20(?) digital camera and transferred to a flashcard in his 200LX. The flashcard was then popped into Linda's OB800 and the photographs distributed to everybody.

Front (L-R) Myself, Rob Mitchell, Ole's children

Back (L-R) Jim Saklad, Ed Caine, Linda & Tom Worthington, Stan Dobrowski, Ole Latham

The author testing a 'Worthington'. A Worthington is the essential accessory for colour WinCE users. It ensures that the WinCE screen remains legible outside. The HP620LX WinCE device was courteously provided by Stan Dobrowski. In a rare moment Ed is caught looking on without a bowl of Linda's soup in hand.

Dr. Rob Mitchell provides instruction to myself on how to 'crack' the case of a HP A/C adapter with a rubber mallet to permit replacement of a damaged power cord. That is my adapter in the picture and this method really works to provide a clean separation of the two halves of the case:

The top half of the case with the implement of destruction (left) and the interior electronics of the adapter prior to cable replacement (right).

Stan, Rob and myself benefited from the hospitality of Camp Worthington by staying over night. This photograph shows the excellent camping ground Tom and Linda made available to us. From left to right the tents are Stan's, Rob's and mine respectively (although only Fred would be interested in tents).
